'Lingering For The Instant': A Poem by Elizabeth York Dickinson

LINGERING FOR THE INSTANT
I saw him, in that room
absent of chill, arms mild,
carrying life’s flames that waned,
breathing embers, attracting
a wand, releasing his
lips, kissing my whisper.
